Five ministries and commissions define the employment measures of key groups

ECHEMI 2020-02-14

In order to do a good job in the employment of migrant workers, college graduates and other key groups during the epidemic prevention and control period, the Ministry of human resources and social security, the Ministry of education, the Ministry of finance, the Ministry of transport and the national health and Health Commission jointly issued a notice on February 5, defining six aspects of employment measures. The notice requires to ensure the employment of key enterprises. Priority should be given to the release of employment information for key enterprises and major projects, such as epidemic prevention and control, public utilities operation, and people's necessities. At the same time, we should prevent and control the epidemic situation of enterprises and workers returning to work. The notice stressed that care should be given to workers in key areas. For migrant workers who are temporarily difficult to go out and have the willingness to work, a number of local and nearby jobs shall be developed. In addition, we should support small and medium-sized micro enterprises to stabilize employment. We will make overall use of the special award and subsidy funds for structural adjustment of industrial enterprises to support eligible enterprises affected by the epidemic to stabilize their posts and ensure basic living expenses. In addition, we should improve the employment measures of college graduates. All kinds of on-site recruitment activities for college graduates are suspended, and colleges and employers are encouraged to use the Internet to connect supply and demand.
