As China Thailand chemical has not yet fully established its own calcium carbide base, this undoubtedly increases its business pressure. Carbide project extends the company's industrial chain. The company has decided to build a large-scale calcium carbide project of 500000 tons / year in Xinjiang heavy chemical industry base of Fukang. The project not only conforms to the national policy, but also has rich coal, electricity and chemical resources in the local area. The railway, highway and other transportation are very convenient, which can fully realize the double advantages of low cost of construction project and low cost of production and operation. The project unit adopts the closed calcium carbide furnace process, which has reached the domestic advanced level, and the produced carbon monoxide furnace gas is used for its own use; after purification, the flue gas is used for drying coke, so that the waste heat can be fully utilized, which has the outstanding advantages of low energy consumption, low pollution and high product quality. The total investment of the project is nearly 1 billion yuan, which has been approved by the environmental impact report issued by Xinjiang Environmental Protection Bureau in early April. The construction of the first phase of 200000 tons / year will be officially started in the near future to ensure that the project will be completed and put into operation by the end of this year. After the completion of phase I 200000 t / a calcium carbide project of Zhongtai chemical Zhongtai mining and metallurgy company, the company's overall production capacity will reach 400000 T / a calcium carbide production scale, and the self-sufficiency of calcium carbide will be further improved. With the start-up of 360000 tons of PVC resin project of Zhongtai chemical, by 2010, the company needs more than one million tons of calcium carbide. Therefore, the calcium carbide produced by the project mainly meets the internal production needs of the company.
