Japan Mitsubishi Chemical MMA and PMMA units start commercial operation
Mitsubishi Chemical Co., Ltd. said Wednesday that its new joint venture MMA and PMMA units in Jubail, Saudi Arabia, have begun commercial operation. The investment of the two units is about 360 million US dollars, and the annual output of 250000 tons of MMA and 40000 tons of PMMA are designed. The two units are operated by samac. Samac is a joint venture between Mitsubishi Chemical and SABIC, both holding 50% of the shares.
