Chronic pancreatitis
Chronic pancreatitis is a persistent and permanent damage to pancreatic tissue and function caused by various factors. The pancreas shows varying degrees of acinar atrophy, pancreatic duct deformation, fibrosis and calcification, as well as varying degrees of pancreatic exocrine and endocrine dysfunction. Clinically, it mainly manifests as abdominal pain, diarrhea or steatorrhea, weight loss and malnutrition, and other symptoms of pancreatic insufficiency. Typical chronic pancreatitis is relatively rare in my country and difficult to diagnose.
