Pancreatin enteric-coated capsules

This product is a mixture of trypsin, amylase and lipase. It is more active under neutral or weak alkaline conditions. Trypsin can convert protein into peptone, amylase can convert starch into sugar, and lipase can decompose fat into glycerol and fatty acids, thereby promoting digestion and increasing appetite.

This product is a two-color capsule of brown and colorless transparent, and the contents are small brown particles coated with enteric material.

Treatment of exocrine pancreatic insufficiency in children and adults. Exocrine pancreatic insufficiency is common in (but not limited to) cystic fibrosis, chronic pancreatitis, post-pancreatectomy, post-gastrectomy, pancreatic cancer, and post-gastric bypass reconstruction (such as Billroth II subtotal gastrectomy)

The initial dose is 1-2 capsules each time. Take with meals, and then adjust the dose according to symptoms. Clinical treatment experience shows that the effective dose is generally 5-15 capsules per day. This product should be swallowed whole with water. For easier swallowing, you can also open the capsule and take the microparticles with water or liquid. Do not chew them before taking.

The incidence of adverse reactions related to the drug is very low (less than 1%). Occasionally, diarrhea, constipation, stomach discomfort, nausea and rash have been reported. However, since insufficient pancreatic enzyme secretion is often accompanied by these symptoms, and patients often take other medications, the correlation between these reactions and pancreatic enzymes has not yet been confirmed.

Precautions for pregnancy and lactation: Use with caution in pregnant women; pancreatic enzymes do not cause systemic exposure to lactating women, so it is predicted that this product has no effect on breast-fed infants and young children, and pancreatic enzymes can be used during lactation. Precautions for the elderly: Among patients with malabsorption caused by pancreatic exocrine insufficiency, no special population for which use restrictions are found.
