Pulmonary sequestration in children
Pulmonary sequestration is a congenital developmental abnormality of lung tissue. It is characterized by a part of the lung tissue being separated from the normal lung tissue and not connected to the bronchi and pulmonary arteries of the normal lung tissue. Its blood supply comes from an abnormal branch of the aorta. It can be divided into two types, intralobar and extralobar.
