There are many HBV infected people in my country. A comprehensive analysis is required to determine whether clinical hepatitis B patients are acute or chronic. A few acute cases have a prolonged course and turn into chronic, or develop into cirrhosis or even liver cancer; severe cases progress rapidly and may develop into severe hepatitis; other infected people become asymptomatic virus carriers. Although hepatitis B is currently the most important hepatitis in my country, among acute viral hepatitis, acute hepatitis B is far less common than hepatitis A and hepatitis E. Most of the acute hepatitis B initially diagnosed in clinical practice is the acute activity of chronic asymptomatic HBV carriers (AsC). Therefore, acute hepatitis B is not very common. It includes: acute icteric hepatitis and acute anicteric hepatitis.
