Congenital pseudarthrosis of the tibia
Congenital tibial pseudarthrosis is a general term for congenital malformation or failure of the tibia. There are many specific types, each with its own independent pathology, course and prognosis. It is often seen at the junction of the middle and lower 1/3 of the tibia, eventually forming a local pseudarthrosis. The incidence rate in men is slightly higher than that in women, and it is mostly unilateral, and the ipsilateral fibula can also be affected. A small number of patients have a genetic history.
