Follicular cyst
Under normal physiological conditions, when the follicle develops into a mature follicle, the average diameter does not exceed 1.5 cm. If during the growth and development process, the follicle is closed or does not rupture, causing the accumulation of follicular fluid, the follicle expands, and the diameter is 1.5 to 2.5 cm, which is called a cystic follicle. If it is larger than 2.5 cm, it is called a follicular cyst.
