Congenital nephrotic syndrome
Congenital nephrotic syndrome (CNS) refers to nephrotic syndrome that occurs within 3 months after birth. It has the same clinical manifestations as childhood nephrotic syndrome, namely, massive proteinuria, severe edema, hyperlipidemia and hypoproteinemia at birth or within 3 months after birth. It is usually divided into two categories according to the cause: hereditary nephrotic syndrome and non-hereditary nephrotic syndrome.
