Congenital dyserythropoietic anemia in children
Congenital dyserythropoietic anaemia (CDA), also known as congenital erythropoietic anemia, is a rare autosomal hereditary disease characterized by anemia with reticulocytopenia and ineffective erythropoiesis. Patients often have hepatomegaly and splenomegaly, shortened erythrocyte lifespan, jaundice and gallstones. The characteristics of CDA are: ① ineffective hematopoiesis (destruction of erythrocytes and immature erythrocytes in the bone marrow); ② the appearance of a large number of multinucleated erythrocytes with larger cell bodies in the bone marrow; ③ secondary hemochromatosis.
