Argentine hemorrhagic fever
Argentine hemorrhagic fever is a natural epidemic disease mainly caused by rodents, caused by Junin and Machupo viruses. Clinical features include fever, severe myalgia, bleeding, shock, neurological abnormalities, and leukopenia and thrombocytopenia. The morphology and biological characteristics of the Machupo virus are similar to those of the Junin virus. It is currently believed that the direct damaging effect of the virus is the main one.
