Myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) is a group of malignant clonal diseases originating from pluripotent hematopoietic stem cells. The main characteristics are: ① abnormal development of blood cells, manifested as bone marrow ineffectiveness and morbid hematopoiesis; ② malignant clones retain a certain degree of differentiation potential and proliferate relatively slowly; ③ some eventually transform into acute leukemia, mainly acute myeloid leukemia (AML).
