Brain venous malformation
Brain venous malformation is also called brain venous angioma or brain venous aneurysm. Because it has an abnormal appearance, but still provides functional venous drainage to the corresponding tissue, it is also called developmental venous anomaly. Venous malformation can be divided into superficial and deep types. The superficial type refers to the deep medullary vein area draining into the cortical vein through the superficial medullary vein; the deep type refers to the subcortical area draining into the deep venous system.
