Virus disease of salivary gland is also called cytomegalic inclusion disease. This disease is caused by cytomegalovirus infection. This virus can exist in the human body for a long time and is excreted in saliva or urine. The main route of infection is contact transmission, and infants and young children can be infected through the placenta. It is more common in the submandibular gland and parotid gland.
