Acinetobacter infection
Acinetobacter bacteria are conditional pathogens. When the body's resistance is reduced, it is easy to cause infection. It is one of the important opportunistic pathogens that cause hospital-acquired infections. This bacterium can cause respiratory tract infections, sepsis, meningitis, endocarditis, wound and skin infections, urogenital tract infections, etc. Severe cases can lead to death. Susceptible groups are the elderly, infants and other people with low resistance. In recent years, this bacterium has been spreading in hospitals and its drug resistance has been increasing. It is also multi-drug resistant, so it has attracted clinical attention.
