Psoriatic arthritis
Psoriatic arthritis (PA), also known as arthritis psoriasis, is an inflammatory joint disease associated with psoriasis. The course of this disease is prolonged and prone to relapse. In the late stage, joint ankylosis forms, leading to disability. Psoriasis is more common in arthritis patients, 2 to 3 times more than the general population, and arthritis is also more common in psoriasis patients. Leczinsky found in a 10-year survey that the incidence of arthritis in psoriasis was 6.8%, which greatly exceeded the incidence of arthritis in non-psoriatic populations. Women are more likely to suffer from it than men. According to Nobol, PA accounts for about 1% of psoriasis patients. Since this disease, Reiter syndrome, and ankylosing spondylitis are all related to HLA-B27, and the rheumatoid factor is negative, and the clinical manifestations are similar, it is classified as a seronegative spondyloarthropathy.
