Bladder prolapse
Bladder prolapse refers to the prolapse of part or all of the bladder from the external urethral opening. A normal bladder is fixed by the triangular ligament, lateral ligament and surrounding tissues and is not easy to prolapse. The urethra is closed by the internal and external sphincters, and the bladder cannot prolapse through it. However, if the above structures and their functions are damaged and weakened, bladder prolapse may occur. Bladder prolapse is rare and almost all occurs in women, and is more common in those under 10 years old and over 50 years old.
