Renal artery embolism
Renal artery embolism includes renal artery embolus and renal artery thrombosis. Because it is quite rare and the symptoms are non-specific, it is easy to misdiagnose or delay diagnosis. Renal artery embolism can cause hypertension and acute renal failure. Under certain specific conditions, the renal artery or its branches can form local thrombi or be embolized by circulating emboli. When larger arteries are blocked by thrombi or emboli, renal ischemia will occur and even renal infarction will be induced.
