Traumatic intraventricular hemorrhage
In the past, it was generally believed that traumatic intraventricular hemorrhage was caused by the rupture of an intracerebral hematoma in the adjacent ventricle into the ventricle, or a penetrating brain injury through the ventricular system, with blood flowing into the ventricle from the wound, and it was rare, while bleeding from the ventricular wall was even rarer. After CT scanning was applied to clinical diagnosis, the previous view was changed, and it was found that traumatic intraventricular hemorrhage was not uncommon and often occurred in non-critical patients.
