Air embolism
Air embolism is a disorder in which a gas embolus originating in the lungs blocks a cerebral blood vessel, usually due to overinflation of the lungs caused by expansion of pulmonary gas when the surrounding pressure decreases (such as when ascending from a deep-water dive) and is often characterized by pain and/or neurologic symptoms.
