High-pressure hydrocephalus
High-pressure hydrocephalus is essentially caused by obstruction of the ventricular system and subarachnoid space in the cerebrospinal fluid circulation pathway, which causes increased mean pressure or pulsating pressure within the ventricles, resulting in ventricular enlargement, which is unable to compensate and causes corresponding clinical symptoms.
