Glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency
Hemolytic anemia caused by erythrocyte glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G-6-PD) deficiency is a group of heterogeneous diseases. It is the most common type of hemolysis caused by erythrocyte enzyme deficiency. This disease is an X-linked incomplete dominant inheritance. G-6-PD activity measurement is the main means of diagnosing this disease. There is currently no cure for this disease.
