Metronidazole
Metronidazole has a strong antibacterial effect on most anaerobic bacteria, but has no effect on aerobic bacteria and facultative anaerobes. The antibacterial spectrum includes Bacteroides fragilis and other Bacteroides, Fusobacterium, Clostridium perfringens, Eubacterium, Veillonella, Peptococcus and Peptostreptococcus. Actinomycetes, Lactobacillus and Propionibacterium are resistant to this product. Its bactericidal concentration is slightly higher than the inhibitory concentration. This product can also inhibit the redox reaction of amoeba and break the nitrogen chain of the protozoa. In vitro tests have shown that when the drug concentration is 1-2 mg/L, the histolytica can undergo morphological changes in 6-20 hours and all are killed within 24 hours. When the concentration is 0.2 mg/L, the histolytica can be killed within 72 hours. This product has a strong effect of killing trichomonas, and its mechanism is unknown. It has a carcinogenic effect on some animals.

Potassium chloride
Potassium is the main cation in cells, with a concentration of 150-160 mmol/L, while the main cation outside cells is sodium ions, and the serum potassium concentration is only 3.5-5.0 mmol/L. The body mainly relies on Na+-K+ ATPase on the cell membrane to maintain the difference in K+ and Na+ concentrations inside and outside cells. The acid-base balance in the body has an impact on potassium metabolism. For example, when acidosis occurs, H+ enters the cell. In order to maintain the potential difference inside and outside the cell, K+ is released outside the cell, causing or aggravating hyperkalemia. Metabolic disorders can also affect acid-base balance. The normal potassium ion concentration and concentration difference inside and outside cells are closely related to certain functions of cells, such as carbohydrate metabolism, glycogen storage and protein metabolism, excitability and conductivity of nerves and muscles including myocardium, etc.

Calcium chloride
Calcium supplements. Calcium ions can maintain normal excitability of nerves and muscles and promote the secretion of acetylcholine by nerve endings. When serum calcium is low, the excitability of nerves and muscles may increase, resulting in convulsions. When blood calcium is too high, the excitability may decrease, resulting in weakness. Calcium ions can improve the permeability of cell membranes, increase the density of capillaries, reduce exudation, and have an anti-allergic effect. Calcium ions can promote the calcification of bones and teeth. There is a competitive antagonism between high concentrations of calcium and magnesium ions, which can be used to rescue magnesium poisoning. Calcium ions can react with fluoride to form insoluble calcium fluoride, which can be used to rescue fluoride poisoning.

Magnesium sulfate
Magnesium ions can inhibit the activity of the central nervous system, inhibit the release of acetylcholine at the motor nerve-muscle junction, block conduction at the neuromuscular junction, reduce or relieve muscle contraction, and at the same time have a dilating effect on vascular smooth muscle, dilate spasmodic peripheral blood vessels, and lower blood pressure. Therefore, it has a preventive and therapeutic effect on eclampsia. It also has an inhibitory effect on uterine smooth muscle contraction and can be used to treat premature delivery.
