Escitalopram oxalate

Escitalopram is the mono-S-enantiomer of the dicyclic hydrogenated phthalide derivative citalopram. Its antidepressant effect may be related to inhibiting the reuptake of 5-HT by central nervous system neurons, thereby enhancing the function of central serotonergic nerves. It is a highly selective 5-HT reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) with little effect on the reuptake of norepinephrine and dopamine. Escitalopram has no affinity or only low affinity for multiple receptors, and has no affinity or only low affinity for Na, K, Cl-, and Ca2+ channels.

Quetiapine fumarate

A new antipsychotic drug that is an antagonist of multiple neurotransmitter receptors in the brain. It may exert its anti-schizophrenia effect by antagonizing central D2 receptors and 5-HT2 receptors. Antagonism of other receptors mediates other pharmacological effects of quetiapine; for example, antagonism of histamine H1 receptors and adrenergic a1 receptors can lead to drowsiness and orthostatic hypotension. Quetiapine has almost no affinity for cholinergic M receptors and benzodiazepine receptors (JC50% 5000nM).
