Indication

It is suitable for the treatment of bacterial dysentery and enteritis, or for preventing infection after intestinal surgery.

Usage and Dosage

Oral administration: Adults take 1-3g at a time, 3-4 times a day; children take 100mg/kg per day according to body weight, divided into 4 times. The first dose is doubled.

Adverse Reactions

After oral administration of this product, reactions such as nausea, vomiting, anorexia, dizziness, headache, drug fever, rash, granulocytopenia, crystalluria, oliguria and hematuria may occur.

Precautions

It is contraindicated for those who are allergic to this product.

Special Population Medication

Precautions for children: Premature infants, newborns and infants under 2 months old are prohibited. Precautions for pregnancy and lactation: Precautions for pregnant and lactating women are prohibited. Precautions for the elderly: Not yet clear.

Drug Interactions

1. The simultaneous use of urine alkalinizing drugs can enhance the solubility of this product in alkaline urine and increase excretion. 2. It cannot be used in combination with para-aminobenzoic acid, which can replace this product and be taken up by bacteria, and the two are antagonistic to each other. It is also not suitable to be used in combination with local anesthetics containing para-aminobenzoyl, such as procaine and tetracaine. 3. For those who take estrogen contraceptives, the simultaneous long-term use of this product can reduce the reliability of contraception and increase the chance of menstrual bleeding. 4. Additive photosensitization may occur when used in combination with photosensitizing drugs. 5. Those who receive this product have an increased need for vitamin K.
