Aspirin tablets

This product can inhibit the synthesis of prostaglandins and has antipyretic and analgesic effects.

Its chemical name is: 2-(acetoxy)benzoic acid. Structural formula: Molecular formula: C9H8O4 Molecular weight: 180.16

This product is an enteric-coated tablet, which appears white after removing the coating.

It is used to treat fever caused by the common cold or influenza, and is also used to relieve mild to moderate pain such as headache, joint pain, migraine, toothache, muscle pain, neuralgia, and dysmenorrhea.

Oral administration: Children aged 4-8 years, 0.5 tablets at a time; children aged 8-14 years, 1 tablet at a time; children aged 14 years and above and adults, 1-2 tablets at a time; if fever or pain persists, the medication can be repeated every 4-6 hours, not more than 4 times in 24 hours.

1 Common gastrointestinal reactions include nausea, vomiting, upper abdominal discomfort or pain. 2 Less common or rare reactions include (1) gastrointestinal bleeding or ulcers, manifested as bloody or tarry stools, severe stomach pain or vomiting of bloody or coffee-like substances, which are more common in patients taking large doses of the drug. (2) Bronchospasm-induced allergic reactions, manifested as dyspnea or asthma. (3) Skin allergic reactions, manifested as rash, urticaria, itchy skin, etc. (4) Hematuria, dizziness and liver damage.

1 Pregnant women and breastfeeding women are prohibited from using this product. 2 People with asthma, nasal polyposis syndrome, and those who are allergic to aspirin and other antipyretic analgesics are prohibited from using this product. 3 People with hemophilia, thrombocytopenia, or active ulcer disease are prohibited from using this product.

Precautions for children: Pediatric patients, especially those with fever and dehydration, are prone to toxic reactions. Acute febrile diseases, especially the use of this product in children with influenza and chickenpox, may be associated with the development of Reyes syndrome, which is still rare in China. Precautions for pregnancy and lactation: This product easily passes through the placenta. Animal experiments show that the use of this product in the first 3 months of pregnancy can cause teratogenesis, such as spina bifida, skull cleft, facial cleft, leg deformity, and incomplete development of the central nervous system, internal organs and bones. There are also reports of fetal defects in humans after the use of this product. In addition, long-term and large-scale use of this product in the last 3 months of pregnancy can prolong the pregnancy period and increase the risk of post-term labor syndrome and antepartum hemorrhage. Use in the last 2 weeks of pregnancy can increase the risk of fetal hemorrhage or neonatal hemorrhage. Long-term use of the drug in the late pregnancy may also cause the fetal ductus arteriosus to contract or close early, leading to persistent pulmonary hypertension and heart failure in the newborn. There have been reports that excessive use or abuse of this drug in late pregnancy has increased the incidence of stillbirth or neonatal death (possibly due to ductus arteriosus atresia, elderly precautions: Elderly patients are prone to toxic reactions when taking this drug due to decreased renal function.

1 This product should not be used with anticoagulants (such as dicoumarol, heparin) and thrombolytic drugs (streptokinase). 2 Antacids such as sodium bicarbonate can increase the excretion of this product in urine, causing a decrease in blood drug concentration, and should not be used together. 3 This product can increase gastrointestinal adverse reactions when used with glucocorticoids (such as dexamethasone, etc.). 4 This product can enhance the effects of oral hypoglycemic drugs and methotrexate, and should not be used together. 5 If used with other drugs at the same time, drug interactions may occur.
