Chlortetracycline Hydrochloride Eye Ointment

This product is a tetracycline broad-spectrum antibiotic. Its mechanism of action is mainly to inhibit bacterial protein synthesis. It has an inhibitory effect on common Gram-positive bacteria and Chlamydia trachomatis in the eye.

The main ingredient of this product is chlortetracycline hydrochloride. Its chemical name is: 6-methyl-4-(dimethylamino)-3,6,10,12,12alpha;,-pentahydroxy-1,11-dioxo-7-chloro-1,4,4alpha;,5,5alpha;,6,11,12alpha;-octahydro-2-naphthacenecarboxamide hydrochloride

This product is a yellow ointment.

It is used for bacterial conjunctivitis, sty and bacterial blepharitis. It is also used to treat trachoma.

Apply inside the eyelids 1-2 times a day, the last application should be before bedtime.
