Melamicin Capsules

This product is a multi-component macrolide antibiotic produced by Streptomyces. Its antibacterial properties are similar to those of erythromycin. It shows strong antibacterial effects on Gram-positive bacteria and mycoplasmas, and also has antibacterial effects on some Gram-negative bacteria such as Neisseria meningitidis and Neisseria gonorrhoeae. Some erythromycin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus may still be sensitive to this product. This product works by acting on the 50S subunit of bacterial ribosomes and hindering the synthesis of bacterial proteins. It is a growth-stage antibacterial drug.

The main ingredients of this product are: midecamycin A1 and kitasamycin A6.

This product is a gastric-coated or enteric-coated tablet, which appears white or off-white after removing the coating.

It is mainly suitable for respiratory tract, skin, soft tissue, biliary tract infections and mycoplasma pneumonia caused by sensitive bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus, hemolytic Streptococcus, Pneumococcus, Corynebacterium diphtheriae and Mycoplasma.

Oral administration: 0.8-1.2 g per day for adults and 30 mg/kg per day for children, divided into 3-4 doses.

Hepatotoxicity: At normal doses, the hepatotoxicity of this product is relatively small, mainly manifested as cholestasis and temporary elevation of serum aminotransferase, which can generally be restored after discontinuation of the drug. 2. Allergic reactions: Mainly manifested as drug fever, drug rash and urticaria. 3. Occasionally, gastrointestinal reactions such as nausea, vomiting, upper abdominal discomfort, and loss of appetite may occur.

Patients who are allergic to this product and macrolide drugs are contraindicated.

Precautions for children: Not clear yet. Precautions for pregnancy and lactation: Animal reproductive This product can cross the placenta, but there is no sign of damage to the fetus. There is no data on the secretion of this product in breast milk. The safety of use in pregnant and lactating women has not been confirmed so far, so this product should be used only when there is no appropriate choice for pregnant or lactating women. Precautions for the elderly: The elderly are often accompanied by renal impairment, and the dosage should be reduced according to the degree of renal impairment.

This product can inhibit the normal metabolism of theophylline. When used in combination with theophylline, it can cause an abnormal increase in theophylline blood concentration and lead to poisoning or even death. Therefore, theophylline blood concentration should be monitored when the two drugs are used in combination.
