Sodium Aescinate for Injection
Function and Efficacy
This product can prompt the body to increase the plasma concentration of ACTH and cortisone, promote the blood vessel wall to increase the secretion of PGF2α, and scavenge free radicals in the body, thereby playing an anti-inflammatory and anti-exudative role, increasing venous tension, accelerating venous blood flow, promoting lymphatic return, promoting blood circulation and microcirculation, and protecting blood vessel walls.
Ingredients
Sodium aescinate A and sodium aescinate B are triterpenoid saponins containing ester bonds extracted from the dried mature seeds of Aesculus fragrans, a plant of the Aesculaceae family.
Appearance
This product is white freeze-dried loose blocks.
Indication
It is used for cerebral edema, swelling caused by trauma or surgery, and also for venous reflux disorders.
Usage and Dosage
Intravenous injection or intravenous drip. For adults, take 0.1-0.4 mg/kg per day according to body weight, or take 5-10 mg of this product dissolved in 250 ml of 10% glucose injection or 0.9% sodium chloride injection for intravenous drip; or take 5-10 mg of this product dissolved in 10-20 ml of 10% glucose injection or 0.9% sodium chloride injection for intravenous push injection. Severe patients can be given multiple doses, but the total amount per day should not exceed 20 mg. The course of treatment is 7-10 days.
Adverse Reactions
1. Local pain and swelling may be seen at the injection site, which can disappear with hot compress. 2. Occasionally, allergic reactions may occur, which can be treated according to the principles of drug allergy treatment.
Precautions
1. Patients with renal damage, renal failure, or renal insufficiency are prohibited from using this product. 2. Pregnant women are prohibited from using this product. 3. Patients who are allergic to the ingredients of this product are prohibited from using this product.
Drug Interactions
Be cautious when using it in combination with the following drugs: 1. Drugs with high binding rate to serum proteins. 2. Drugs that can seriously damage renal function. 3. Corticosteroid drugs. 4. Drugs containing basic groups (precipitation may occur when used in combination).
