Function and Efficacy
Pharmacology: This product (8-MOP) is a derivative of psoralen and a photosensitizer. This drug combined with epidermal cells is easily activated by long-wave ultraviolet rays with a wavelength of 320-400nm to form photoadducts, produce phototoxic reactions, inhibit epidermal cell DNA synthesis and mitosis, and slow down the renewal rate of epidermal cells, thereby playing a therapeutic role in psoriasis. The result of the photosensitivity reaction also increases the activity of tyrosinase in melanocytes, promotes the formation of melanin; promotes the movement of melanocytes in hair follicles into the epidermis, thereby causing pigmentation on the skin, and is used to treat vitiligo. Toxicology: The oral LD50 of this product in mice is 394.9mg/kg±38.5mg/kg. In clinical applications, the dosage is generally calculated as 0.5mg/kg, which is 1/790 of the oral LD50 of mice. After clinical medication, liver and kidney function and blood and urine routine tests were repeatedly performed, and no abnormalities were found.

Indication
Usage and Dosage
Apply 0.1% solution to the affected area, let it dry and then irradiate with long-wave ultraviolet light for 2 hours, once a week.
Adverse Reactions
Common adverse reactions after long-wave ultraviolet irradiation are erythema, which often appears 24 to 28 hours after irradiation; skin pigmentation and itching. If the irradiation dose is too large or the time is too long, redness, swelling, blisters, pain, and desquamation may occur on the skin of the irradiated area. If redness, swelling, blisters, etc. occur, you can temporarily stop using it and use it again after recovery.
