Fleroxacin Injection
Function and Efficacy
This product is a fluoroquinolone antibacterial drug. It has strong antibacterial effects on Gram-negative bacteria, including Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Proteus, Salmonella typhi, Salmonella paratyphi, Shigella, Enterobacter cloacae, Enterobacter aerogenes, Citrobacter, Serratia marcescens, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Neisseria meningitidis, Haemophilus influenzae, Moracata, Legionella pneumophila, Neisseria gonorrhoeae, etc. It also has moderate antibacterial effects on Gram-positive cocci such as Staphylococcus and hemolytic Streptococcus. In recent years, bacterial resistance to fluoroquinolones has increased significantly, especially in Escherichia coli, with a resistance rate of more than 50%. The mechanism of action of this product is to inhibit the bacterial DNA gyrase and thus kill bacteria.

Special Population Medication
Precautions for children: Fluoroquinolones can cause permanent damage to the cartilage of weight-bearing joints in dogs, leading to lameness, and can also cause arthritis in several other underage animals, so they are contraindicated in patients under 18 years of age. In infections caused by multidrug-resistant bacteria, when the bacteria are only sensitive to fluoroquinolones, this product can only be used in children after weighing the pros and cons. Precautions for pregnancy and lactation: Fluoroquinolones can pass through the blood-placental barrier and can be secreted into breast milk, and their concentration is close to the blood drug concentration, so they are contraindicated for pregnant and lactating women. Precautions for the elderly: Elderly patients have reduced renal function, and the dosage should be reduced as appropriate.
Drug Interactions
1. The aluminum and magnesium contained in didanosine (DDI) preparations can chelate with fluoroquinolones and should not be used together. 2. Urine alkalinizers can reduce the solubility of this product in urine, leading to crystalluria and nephrotoxicity. 3. Probenecid can delay the excretion of this product, increase the blood concentration of this product and produce toxicity.
