Compound Licorice and Ephedrine Tablets

Licorice extract is a mucosal protective antitussive drug that can cover the inflamed pharyngeal mucosa to reduce the stimulation of local sensory nerve endings, thereby exerting an antitussive effect; ephedrine hydrochloride can relax bronchial smooth muscles, constrict bronchial mucosal blood vessels, reduce congestion and edema, and improve airway obstruction; the amygdalin contained in almonds has an antitussive effect; gypsum can clear away heat and reduce fire.

This product is a compound preparation. Each tablet contains 10 mg of ephedrine hydrochloride, 8.75 mg of licorice extract, 5 mg of apricot kernel and 5 mg of gypsum.

It is used for cough and sputum, and can also be used for cough caused by asthmatic bronchitis and simple bronchitis.

Oral administration: Adults, 1 tablet at a time, 3 times a day.

Symptoms may include nausea, vomiting, anxiety, palpitations, tachycardia, etc.

1. Patients with hypertension, arteriosclerosis, angina pectoris, hyperthyroidism, etc. are prohibited from using this product. 2. Patients with impaired liver and kidney function are prohibited from using this product. 3. Pregnant and lactating women are prohibited from using this product.

Precautions during pregnancy and lactation: Contraindicated for use by pregnant and lactating women.

1. This product should not be used with monoamine oxidase inhibitors such as pargyline to avoid causing excessive blood drug levels. 2. It should not be used with digitalis drugs. 3.
