Ketoconazole cream

Ketoconazole is an azole antifungal drug. It has antibacterial and bactericidal effects on dermatophytes, yeasts (Candida, Pityrosporum, Torulopsis, Cryptococcus), dimorphic fungi and Fungi; except for Entomophthora, it has weaker effects on Aspergillus, Schenckia, some Phaeochromocytaceae, and Mucor. The mechanism of action of ketoconazole is mainly to highly selectively interfere with the activity of fungal cytochrome P-450, thereby inhibiting the biosynthesis of ergosterol on the fungal cell membrane.

Each gram of this product contains 0.02 grams of the main ingredient ketoconazole, and the auxiliary materials are: cetyl alcohol, stearyl alcohol, glyceryl monostearate, stearic acid, white vaseline, liquid paraffin, glycerin, sodium lauryl sulfate, vitamin C, ethyl hydroxybenzoate, and polyethylene glycol 400.

This product is a milky white or slightly reddish ointment with an emulsion base.

Used for tinea manuum, tinea pedis, tinea corporis, tinea cruris, tinea versicolor and skin candidiasis.

For topical use, apply an appropriate amount of this product to the affected area, 2 to 3 times a day. To reduce recurrence, tinea corporis, tinea cruris, tinea versicolor and skin candidiasis should be used continuously for 2 to 4 weeks, and tinea manuum and pedis should be used continuously for 4 to 6 weeks.

1. Common symptoms include erythema, burning, itching, tingling or other irritation, folliculitis, skin atrophy and thinning, capillary dilation, etc. 2. Dry skin, hirsutism, stretch marks, increased susceptibility to infection, etc. 3. Long-term use may cause hypercorticism, manifested as hirsutism, acne, moon face, osteoporosis, etc. 4. Occasionally may cause allergic contact dermatitis.

This product is contraindicated for patients who are allergic to any active ingredient or excipient in this product or other imidazole drugs.

Precautions for children: Children must use under adult supervision. Precautions for pregnancy and lactation: Pregnant and lactating women should use with caution. Precautions for the elderly: Not yet clear.
