Secnidazole tablets
Function and Efficacy
Secnidazole enters the microorganism by passive diffusion, and destroys the DNA of microorganisms and anaerobic cells through the reduction of 5-nitroimidazole. The mechanism of action is similar to other 5-nitroimidazole drugs. Pharmacodynamic studies have shown that secnidazole has extremely strong selective toxicity to Trichomonas protozoa and anaerobic microorganisms. Toxicological effects: Animal experiments have not shown that this product has teratogenic effects, but like other 5-nitroimidazole drugs, this product should be avoided as much as possible in the first three months of pregnancy.
