It has stronger antibacterial ability than other oral cephalosporins, and its mode of action is bactericidal. Since this product is extremely stable to beta-lactamase produced by various bacteria, it also has excellent antibacterial power against bacteria that produce beta-lactamase. The mechanism of action of this product is mainly to prevent the synthesis of bacterial cell walls.

Appearance

This product is white tablets.

Indication

Broad-spectrum antibiotic. Effective against infections caused by Streptococcus, Pneumococcus, Gonococcus, Borrelia, Escherichia coli, Serratia, Klebsiella, Proteus, and Haemophilus influenzae. Mainly used to treat bronchitis, bronchiectasis and infection, secondary infection of chronic respiratory diseases, pneumonia, pyelonephritis, cystitis, gonococcal urethritis, cholecystitis, cholangitis, scarlet fever, otitis media, and sinusitis.

Usage and Dosage

Oral administration: 50-100 mg twice a day for adults and children weighing more than 30 kg. In severe cases, the dose can be increased to 0.2 g twice a day.

Adverse Reactions

The main symptoms are diarrhea, abnormal stool, headache, nausea, abdominal pain, rash, etc. In a very small number of patients, GPT and GOT are elevated.

Precautions

Patients with a history of allergy to this product or cephalosporin antibiotics are contraindicated.

Special Population Medication

Precautions for children: The safety of premature infants and newborns has not been established (no experience). Precautions for pregnancy and lactation: The safety and effectiveness of this product for pregnant women have not been established. Use this product only when it is really necessary. It is not clear whether this product is secreted from breast milk. Breastfeeding should be suspended when it is necessary. Precautions for the elderly: Use with caution in the elderly.

Drug Interactions

1. This product is contraindicated with the following drugs: amikacin sulfate, gentamicin, kanamycin, tobramycin. Neomycin, chlortetracycline hydrochloride, tetracycline hydrochloride, oxytetracycline hydrochloride, colistin sodium methanesulfonate, polymyxin B sulfate, erythromycin gluconate, erythromycin lactobionate, lincomycin, sulfisoxazole, aminophylline, soluble barbiturates, calcium chloride, calcium gluconate, other antihistamines of diphenhydramine hydrochloride, lidocaine, norepinephrine, metahydroxylamine, methylphenidate, succinylcholine, etc. Occasionally, it may also be contraindicated with the following drugs: penicillin, methicillin, hydrocortisone succinate, phenytoin sodium. Prochlorperazine, vitamin B group and vitamin C, hydrolyzed protein. 2. The combined use of strong diuretics such as furosemide, ethacrynic acid, bumetanide, anti-tumor drugs such as carmustine, streptozocin, and aminoglycoside antibiotics with this product may increase nephrotoxicity. 3. Clavulanic acid can increase the antibacterial activity of this product against certain Gram-negative bacteria that are resistant to it due to the production of B-lactamase.
