Function and Efficacy
Metronidazole has a strong antibacterial effect on most anaerobic bacteria, but has no effect on aerobic bacteria and facultative anaerobic bacteria. The antibacterial spectrum includes Bacteroides fragilis and other Bacteroides, Fusobacterium, Clostridium perfringens, Eubacterium, Veillonella, Peptococcus and Peptostreptococcus, etc. Actinomycetes, Lactobacillus and Propionibacterium are resistant to this product. Its bactericidal concentration is slightly higher than the inhibitory concentration. For other details, please refer to the instructions.

Indication
This product is mainly used to treat anaerobic infections.
Usage and Dosage
Intravenous drip 15 mg/kg/time
Adverse Reactions
The most common adverse reactions are digestive tract reactions, including nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, diarrhea, and abdominal cramps, which generally do not affect treatment; neurological symptoms include headache, dizziness, occasional paresthesia, limb numbness, ataxia, multiple neuritis, etc., and high doses can cause convulsions. A few cases have urticaria, flushing, itching, cystitis, dysuria, dark urine, metallic taste in the mouth, and leukopenia, which are all reversible and recover on their own after stopping the drug.
Precautions
1. Metronidazole Sodium Chloride Injection is contraindicated for patients who are allergic to any ingredient in this product or azole drugs. 2. It is contraindicated for patients with active central nervous system diseases, blood diseases and allergic patients.
Special Population Medication
Precautions for children: The injection dose is the same as that for adults. Or follow the doctor's advice. Precautions for pregnancy and lactation: Pregnant and lactating women are prohibited. Precautions for the elderly: Due to the decline of liver function in the elderly, the pharmacokinetics of this product are changed when using it, and the blood concentration of this product should be closely monitored.
Drug Interactions
1. This product can inhibit the metabolism of warfarin and other oral anticoagulants, strengthen their effects, and cause the prothrombin time to be prolonged. 2. Simultaneous use of drugs that induce liver microsomal enzymes such as phenytoin sodium and phenobarbital can strengthen the metabolism of metronidazole sodium chloride injection, reduce the blood drug concentration, and slow down the excretion of phenytoin sodium.
