Appearance

This product is off-white to light yellow irregular tablets.

Indication

This product is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug and is only used when at least one other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug has failed. It can be used for the pain of chronic arthritis (such as osteoarthritis), pain after surgery and acute trauma, and symptomatic treatment of primary dysmenorrhea.

Usage and Dosage

Oral administration: 0.05-0.1g at a time, twice a day, after meals. The maximum single dose should not exceed 100mg, and the course of treatment should not exceed 15 days. It is recommended to use the minimum effective dose and the shortest course of treatment to reduce the occurrence of adverse drug reactions.

Adverse Reactions

This product has fewer side effects. Common side effects are heartburn, stomach pain and gastrointestinal disorders, but the symptoms are mild and short-lived, and rarely require interruption of treatment. In rare cases, patients develop allergic rashes after taking it. Even if the above symptoms do not occur when using nimesulide, it should be noted that this product, like other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, may cause dizziness, drowsiness, gastric ulcers or gastrointestinal bleeding and Stevens-Johnson syndrome.

Precautions

1. Patients who are allergic to this product, acetylsalicylic acid or other non-steroidal drugs are contraindicated. 2. Patients with active gastrointestinal bleeding or active peptic ulcer are contraindicated. 3. Patients with severe liver dysfunction and severe renal dysfunction (creatinine clearance rate 30 ml/min) are contraindicated.

Special Population Medication

Precautions for children: The safety of children has not been established, so it is not recommended for children. Precautions for pregnancy and lactation: It has not been confirmed by experiments whether it is toxic to the fetus, so it is not recommended for pregnant women; it has not been confirmed whether this product is excreted through breast milk, so it is also not recommended for lactating women. Precautions for the elderly: Due to the decline in renal function in elderly patients, the dosage can be appropriately reduced according to the situation.

Drug Interactions

Due to the high plasma protein binding rate of this product, it may displace other protein-bound drugs. Furosemide affects the absorption of nimesulide, causing the AUC value of nimesulide to decrease by about 25%; fenofibrate, tolbutamide, and salicylic acid can displace nimesulide from plasma proteins, while furosemide, glibenclamide, and therapeutic doses of warfarin have no effect on the binding rate of nimesulide to proteins.
