Function and Efficacy

Appearance

This product is a colorless or almost colorless clear liquid.

Indication

1. Used to supplement calories, water and electrolytes when it is difficult to take water and electrolytes orally. Used for hyperosmotic dehydration caused by hypokalemia. 2. Supplement water and electrolytes before and after surgery.

Usage and Dosage

Adults should be intravenously dripped once 500-1000ml. Administration rate: can be increased or decreased according to age, weight and symptoms. Children generally use 50-100ml intravenously dripped once; administration rate: can be increased or decreased according to age, weight and symptoms.

Adverse Reactions

1. When the drug is administered rapidly, pulmonary edema, cerebral edema, limb edema, water intoxication, and hyperkalemia may occur. 2. Thrombophlebitis may occasionally occur.

Precautions

1. Patients with lactic acidemia, hyperkalemia, anuria, Addison's disease, severe burns, and azotemia are contraindicated for use. 2. Patients with renal insufficiency and hyperkalemia, heart failure, severe liver disorders, patients with decreased urine volume due to obstructive urinary tract disease, and diabetes.
