Piroxicam gel

Piroxicam is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory analgesic drug that acts by inhibiting the synthesis of prostaglandins.

The main ingredient of this product is piroxicam. Its chemical name is 2-methyl-4-hydroxy-N-2-pyridyl-2H-1,2-benzothiazine-3-carboxamide 1,1-dioxide. Its molecular formula and molecular weight are: C15H13N3O4S, 331.35.

This product is yellow-green gel.

It is used to relieve local pain such as muscle pain, joint pain, pain and swelling caused by strains, sprains and sports injuries. It can also be used for the symptomatic treatment of osteoarthritis.

For external use, apply an appropriate amount to the affected skin or joint surface skin, twice a day.

A small number of patients experience mild redness, itching or rash on the skin. They can continue to use the medication under observation. Most of them disappear during continued use. If the symptoms worsen, the medication should be discontinued.
