Function and Efficacy

It is mainly related to the active conjugated double bond existing in the 1,5 position N of the isoalloxazine in the vitamin B2 molecule. It can be used as both a hydrogen donor and a hydrogen transmitter. In the human body, it participates in redox reactions in the form of flavin adenine dinucleotide (FAD) and flavin mononucleotide (FMN), plays the role of hydrogen transfer, and is a coenzyme of some important redox enzymes in the body. The main biochemical reactions involved are energy production in the respiratory chain, oxidation of amino acids and lipids, conversion of purine bases to uric acid, hydroxylation of aromatic compounds, synthesis of proteins and certain hormones, transport, storage and mobilization of iron, and participation in the metabolism of folic acid, pyridoxal, and niacin. 1. Indication

It is a component of the cofactor of flavonoids in the body (flavonoids play a role in transferring hydrogen in biological oxidation and reduction). Usage and Dosage

The daily requirement for adults is 2 to 3 mg. When treating angular cheilitis, glossitis, or scrotitis, 5 to 10 mg can be taken at a time, 3 times a day, or 5 to 10 mg can be injected subcutaneously or intramuscularly, once a day, for several weeks until the disease is relieved.

Drug Interactions
