Meloxicam Capsules

This product is an enolic acid nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) with strong anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic effects. It can inhibit the synthesis of prostaglandins and selectively inhibit cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2), making it safer than other NSAIDs.

The main ingredient of this product is meloxicam

This product is a capsule, and the contents are light yellow granules.

Rheumatoid arthritis, painful osteoarthritis (such as arthrosis, frozen shoulder, sciatica, degenerative arthritis).

Adult osteoarthritis: 7.5-15 mg/day. Rheumatoid arthritis: 15 mg/day. Depending on the treatment response, the dose can be reduced to 7.5 mg/day. The dose for patients with advanced renal failure undergoing hemodialysis should not exceed 7.5 mg/day.

Gastrointestinal reactions, such as indigestion, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, constipation, flatulence, diarrhea, anemia, itching, rash, mild dizziness, headache, and edema.

It is contraindicated for patients with active peptic ulcer, severe liver dysfunction, non-dialysis severe renal dysfunction, patients who have asthma, angioedema or urticaria after using acetylsalicylic acid or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, children under 15 years of age, and pregnant or lactating women.

The use of more than one nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug at the same time may increase the possibility of gastrointestinal ulcers and bleeding. Combination with anticoagulants, ampicillin, heparin, and thrombolytics may increase the possibility of bleeding. Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs can increase the plasma concentration of lithium; reduce the effectiveness of intrauterine contraceptive devices; and increase the nephrotoxicity of cyclosporine. This drug can increase the blood toxicity of methotrexate. When used in combination with antihypertensive drugs, the antihypertensive effect may be reduced. Combination with cholestyramine can accelerate the elimination of this product. Interaction with oral hypoglycemic drugs cannot be ruled out.
