This product has a thiol group (SH), which can combine with acrylic acid, a toxic metabolite produced by cyclophosphamide or ifosfamide, to form a non-toxic compound that is excreted through the urethra, thus avoiding the occurrence of cystitis.

Appearance

This product is a colorless, clear liquid with a special odor similar to garlic.

Indication

This product can prevent urinary epithelial toxicity such as hemorrhagic cystitis caused by high-dose ifosfamide or cyclophosphamide for tumor chemotherapy. It works together with anti-tumor chemotherapy drugs ifosfamide or cyclophosphamide as a urinary system protector.

Usage and Dosage

Intravenous drip, the usual dose is 20% of the chemotherapy drug, divided into three times and dripped at the same time, 4h and 8h after chemotherapy.

Adverse Reactions

There are generally no adverse reactions when the drug is administered at therapeutic doses. However, large doses, i.e., more than 60 mg-70 mg/kg, may cause nausea, vomiting, crampy abdominal pain, diarrhea, etc. when used for several days.

Drug Interactions

In test tube experiments, this product is incompatible with cisplatin and nitrogen mustard.

Keep away from light and store in a sealed container.
