Methylcobalamin for injection
Function and Efficacy
Pharmacology (1) Methylcobalamin is an endogenous coenzyme B12. It plays an important role as a coenzyme of methionine synthase in the transmethylation reaction of homocysteine to methionine. (2) Methylcobalamin is easily transferred to the organelles of nerve cells, thereby promoting the synthesis of nucleic acids and proteins. Methylcobalamin is more easily transferred into the organelles of rat nerve cells than cyanocobalamin. In experiments on mouse brain cells and spinal cord nerve cells, it participates in the process of synthesizing thymidine from deoxyuridine, promoting the utilization of folic acid and the metabolism of nucleic acids. Moreover, methylcobalamin can promote the synthesis of nucleic acids and proteins in rats more than cobalamin. (3) Promoting intra-axonal transport and axonal regeneration has an important effect on the sitting of diabetic rats caused by streptozotocin.
Ingredients
The main ingredient of this product is methylcobalamin, and its chemical name is: Coα-[α-(5,6-dimethylbenzimidazolyl)]-Coβ-methylcobaltamide.
