Invert Sugar Electrolyte Injection

Function and Efficacy

This product can provide patients with water, electrolytes and energy, and produce diuretic and metabolic alkalizing effects. The lactate contained in it is metabolized in the liver to produce glycogen, and with the participation of H, it eventually produces CO2 and water.

Ingredients

This product is a compound preparation, and its components per 500ml include: glucose 25g, fructose 25g, sodium chloride 0.73g, potassium chloride 0.93g, magnesium chloride 0.143g, sodium dihydrogen phosphate 0.375g, sodium lactate 1.40g, and the osmotic pressure is 726mOsmo/L.

Appearance

This product is a colorless to slightly yellow clear liquid.

Indication

Suitable for fluid rehydration therapy for patients who need non-oral replenishment of water, energy and electrolytes.

Usage and Dosage

Usage: intravenous drip, use under the guidance of a doctor. Dosage: The dosage depends on the condition. The dosage for adults is 250ml-1000ml each time. The drip rate should be lower than 0.5g/kg/hr (calculated as fructose). Adjust the dosage according to the patient's age, weight, clinical condition and laboratory test results.

Adverse Reactions

It is reported that this drug may cause allergic reactions such as flushing, urticaria, and fever. Large doses and rapid infusion may cause lactic acidosis and hyperuricemia. Long-term use alone may cause electrolyte disorders. There are literature reports that patients with liver disease developed lactic acidosis after infusion of fructose. If adverse reactions occur, the infusion should be terminated.

Precautions

Patients with hereditary fructose intolerance are prohibited from using this product, and patients with gout and hyperuricemia are prohibited from using this product. Warning: Be cautious when using this product in excess or improperly, so as not to cause life-threatening lactic acidosis.
