Tegafur Injection
Function and Efficacy
This product is a derivative of fluorouracil. It is activated by the liver in the body and gradually converted into fluorouracil to play an anti-tumor role. It can interfere with and block the synthesis of DNA, RNA and protein, and mainly acts on the S phase. It is a cell cycle-specific drug of anti-pyrimidine. Its mechanism of action, efficacy and anti-tumor spectrum are similar to those of fluorouracil, but it has a long-lasting effect, good absorption and low toxicity. The chemotherapy index is twice that of fluorouracil, and the toxicity is only 1/4 to 1/7 of that of fluorouracil. No serious bone marrow suppression was observed in the chronic toxicity experiment, and the effect on immunity was relatively mild.
