Acetaminophen Vitamin C Effervescent Tablets
Function and Efficacy
This product is a compound preparation composed of acetaminophen and vitamin C, in which acetaminophen is a non-steroidal antipyretic analgesic, which produces antipyretic and analgesic effects by inhibiting the synthesis of prostaglandins, and has almost no anti-inflammatory and anti-rheumatic effects. Vitamin C and dehydroascorbic acid form a reversible redox system in the body, which plays an important role in biological redox and cell respiration; vitamin C also has the effect of reducing capillary permeability to a certain extent, accelerating blood coagulation, promoting iron absorption in the intestine, enhancing the body's immune function, and has a certain anti-histamine effect. The LD50 of acetaminophen for oral administration to rabbits is 800mg/Kg; vitamin C is a vitamin drug, which is a component of many fruits and vegetables, and has low toxicity at commonly used doses.

For those with severe renal insufficiency, the shortest interval is 8 hours.
Adverse Reactions
Like all chemical drugs, this product may cause some adverse reactions to some people, whether mild or severe. In very special cases, rashes or allergic reactions may occur, in which case the drug should be discontinued immediately and a doctor should be consulted. In very rare cases, platelet counts may decrease, and nose and gum bleeding may occur. Taking a large amount of vitamin C (more than 1g) may cause kidney stones in some people, and may also increase hemolysis (destruction of red blood cells) in some patients with G6PD deficiency. Taking a large amount of acetaminophen may cause liver and kidney damage and hematopoietic damage. Please consult a doctor or pharmacist in a timely manner, especially carefully explaining any situation not specified in the instructions.
Precautions
1. It is contraindicated for people who are allergic to acetaminophen or vitamins. 2. It is contraindicated for people with damaged liver function or those who have kidney stones after taking large amounts of vitamins.
Special Population Medication
Precautions for children: Children under 25 kg must be supervised by a physician. Children under 50 kg (about 15 years old) must use this product in reduced dosage. Precautions for pregnancy and lactation: This product can pass through the placenta, so it should be considered that pregnant women may have adverse effects on the fetus. Precautions for the elderly: Acetaminophen is mainly excreted through the kidneys, so elderly patients should appropriately reduce the dosage or extend the interval between medications.
Drug Interactions
This product is a compound preparation of acetaminophen and vitamin C, so the following drug interactions should be noted: 1. In patients who drink alcohol for a long time or use other liver enzyme inducers, especially those who use barbiturates or other antimalarial drugs, the risk of liver toxicity will increase when acetaminophen is taken for a long time or in excess. 2. When acetaminophen is used in combination with aspirin, other salicylic acid preparations or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs for a long time (such as cumulative dosage of 100g per year, used for more than 3 years), the risk of nephrotoxicity (including renal papillary necrosis, renal and bladder cancer, etc.) can be significantly increased. 3. When acetaminophen is used in combination with the antiviral drug zidovudine, the two drugs can reduce the binding effect with glucuronide and reduce the elimination rate, thereby increasing toxicity, so simultaneous use should be avoided. 4. This product can enhance the toxicity of chloramphenicol when taken together with chloramphenicol. 5. When vitamin C is used for a long time or in large quantities, it can interfere with the effect of dithiocarbamide. 6. Paracetamol can reduce the synthesis of coagulation factors in the liver and enhance the effect of anticoagulants. Long-term and large-scale use of this product should be adjusted according to the prothrombin time. 7. Paracetamol can interfere with the determination of blood sugar, serum uric acid, liver function, and prothrombin time. 8. Vitamin C should not be used in combination with alkaline drugs (such as aminophylline, sodium bicarbonate, sodium glutamate, etc.), riboflavin, chlorobutanol, copper, and iron ions (trace amounts) to avoid affecting the efficacy. 9. Vitamin C is compatible with vitamin K3 because the latter is oxidizing and can produce redox reactions, which weakens or eliminates the efficacy of both. 10. The combined use of vitamin C with heparin or warfarin can cause a shortening of the prothrombin time. 11. Vitamin C can destroy vitamin B12 in food, complex with copper and zinc ions in food, hinder their absorption, and may cause symptoms of vitamin B12 or copper and zinc deficiency. 12. If used with other drugs at the same time, drug interactions may occur. Please consult a doctor or pharmacist for details.
