Piracetam is a cyclic derivative of r-aminobutyric acid. Animal experiments suggest that piracetam can prevent or protect animals from retrograde amnesia caused by hypoxia. In addition, piracetam can also significantly antagonize the inhibitory effect of barbiturates on the central nervous system, suggesting that it may increase intracellular ATP and cell membrane excitability.

The main ingredient of this product is piracetam. Chemical name: 2-oxy-1-pyrrolidinoacetamide. Molecular formula: C6H10N2O2 Molecular weight: 142.16

This product is white tablets.

1. Used for memory loss after cerebrovascular accident and mild brain trauma; 2. Promote the intelligence of children with mild mental retardation.

It can be taken directly orally or placed in an appropriate amount of water and then dispersed. Usually, adults take 0.8 grams (1 tablet) each time, 3 times a day. In severe cases, it can be increased to 1.6 grams (2 tablets), 3 times a day. A course of treatment is 3 to 6 weeks.

1. Adverse reactions of the central nervous system include nervousness, excitement, irritability, excessive exercise, dizziness, headache, sleep disorders (insomnia, drowsiness) and depression. These symptoms are mild and have nothing to do with the dosage. 2. Gastrointestinal symptoms include nausea, abdominal discomfort, poor appetite, abdominal distension, abdominal pain, weight gain, diarrhea, etc. The severity of the symptoms is directly related to the dosage. The above symptoms disappear after stopping the drug. 3. Mild liver damage is occasionally seen, manifested as mild elevation of transaminase, but it is unrelated to the drug dosage. 4. Rashes are occasionally seen.

This product is contraindicated for patients with extrapyramidal diseases and Huntington's chorea to avoid aggravating the symptoms. It is also contraindicated for patients with severe liver and kidney dysfunction.

Precautions for children: Contraindicated for newborns. The dosage form of this product is not suitable for children. Precautions for pregnancy and lactation: This product easily passes through the placental barrier, so it is contraindicated for pregnant women; it is unclear whether this product is excreted through the breast milk of lactating women, so it should be contraindicated for lactating women. Precautions for the elderly: Elderly patients may experience decreased physiological functions, so it should be filled. If it is necessary to use it, it should be noted that the appropriate dose should be selected as appropriate.

1. When this product is used in combination with warfarin, it can prolong the prothrombin time and induce the inhibition of platelet aggregation. 2. In patients receiving anticoagulant therapy, special attention should be paid to the coagulation time when piracetam is used at the same time to prevent the risk of bleeding, and the dosage and usage of the anticoagulant therapy should be adjusted.
