Vitamin B1 tablets
Function and Efficacy
Vitamin B1 combines with adenosine triphosphate to form vitamin B1 pyrophosphate (thiamine diphosphate, cocarboxylase), which is a coenzyme necessary for carbohydrate metabolism; vitamin B1 can inhibit the activity of cholinesterase. When it is deficient, the activity of cholinesterase is enhanced, and the hydrolysis of acetylcholine is accelerated, causing nerve impulse conduction disorders and affecting gastrointestinal and myocardial function. [Pharmacokinetics] Gastrointestinal absorption, mainly in the duodenum. Malabsorption syndrome or excessive drinking can prevent absorption. After absorption, it is distributed to various tissues with a half-life of 0.35 hours. It is metabolized in the liver and excreted through the kidneys. Normal people can absorb 5 to 15 mg of vitamin B1 per day.
