Function and Efficacy

This drug is an anthracycline antibiotic with antimitotic and cytotoxic effects. This drug is an anthracycline antibiotic with antimitotic and cytotoxic effects. Indication

Intravenous injection has a good effect on acute non-lymphocytic leukemia and acute lymphocytic leukemia. Oral administration has a certain relieving effect on non-Hodgkin's disease, advanced breast cancer, and multiple myeloma.

Usage and Dosage

Adults with acute non-lymphocytic leukemia take 12 mg/m2/day for 3 days, combined with cytarabine; another method is to use it alone or in combination: 8 mg/m2/day, intravenous injection, for 5 days. Adults with acute lymphocytic leukemia take 12 mg/m2/day for 3 days. Children take 10 mg/m2/day for 3 days. Intravenous injection. Based on the recommended dose, the amount after 2 courses of medication can reach 60-80 mg/m2. Although there is no upper limit, the average dose to avoid cardiac events in cancer patients is 93 mg/m2.

Adverse Reactions

Severe bone marrow suppression and cardiotoxicity, fatal infections. Reversible alopecia, gastrointestinal reactions such as nausea, vomiting, mucositis, especially oral mucositis, which occurs 3-10 days after treatment, esophagitis, diarrhea, fever, chills, rash. There are enzymes and bilirubin increase. Urine turns red after 1-2 days of using this drug.

Precautions

Severe punishment for liver and kidney dysfunction, uncontrolled infection, heart disease patients who have received drug or radiation therapy that caused bone marrow suppression

Drug Interactions

Combination with other drugs that have bone marrow suppression may aggravate bone marrow suppression. It will degrade with alkaline solution. Combination with heparin will produce precipitation, so do not use with other drugs.
